I know I'm probably being a sucker and its not like anyone needs to line Bills pockets but I really like the look of the brown Zune player and unless I start seeing some real evidence of the long rumoured iPhone or the new iPod Video then this will be top of my list for Santa!

Think I am going to spend some time looking at SecondLife as soon as I launch this damn website - think there might be some real opportunities to use it in some of my ideas for adding some of the marketing/evangelist techniques used in 'web2.0' to the work I'm doing with JISC and others...and I am pretty much committed to the Google Office these days - what with Gmail, Google Calendar,Local, Notebook and I am starting to dabble with Writely as well...saying that I am using MS Live Writer for this post and my blog is still at TypePad so still some variety!

been back a while now and haven't had anytime to spend on the blog until now - launching the new JISC website in a couple of days and its all hands to the pumps. Been flat out ever since I came back to work. Also trying to put together this proposal for a blog service for the UK academic sector which is sucking big chunks of my free time up as well..
SanFran was amazing and I'd love to go back sometime but its Tokyo next year - found a fantastically geeky tour http://www.popjapantravel.com/tourpage.html and I am aiming for heading over this time next year..
Due to the pressures of work I have also unfortunately deferred my Masters til a 2007 start - planning on filling some of the time that frees up with some low-key consultancy from Jan onwards (even got some cool cards from Moo.com..

Monday i walked the coast path from fishermans wharf to the golden gate bridge which was 4 hours but loads of cool stuff to see on the way. The bridge was hidden in the famous fog though. Walking across you could not see 10 foot in any direction it was like floating in a cloud very strange. After getting badly lost sunday this was a much less stressful day though i am wiped now so today is just shopping and relaxing
